Kitchen Table App is an experiential, technology-driven, shared economy, social start-up, based in Downtown Los Angeles.  Kitchen Table App brings people together to share dining experiences, make meals accessible, easy, and memorable, and redefine what it means to eat local.


Kitchen Table App  provides individuals with the ability to host a meal in their home or space and the opportunity to dine at a meal in another host's home or space with a table full of neighbors, friends, and newcomers that they may have never met before. Our mobile app allows individuals to connect with neighborhood hosts and chefs and home cooks in an open marketplace. Kitchen Table App partners with local, non-profit organizations providing hosts with the ability to donate any of the proceeds to feed or support someone in their community.

SALES AND MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for increased user and host acquisition through a multitude of outlets including grassroots marketing efforts, face-to-face community outreach, networking, and online marketing. This is a fast-paced role in a growing start-up company with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Community outreach and grassroots marketing to drive customer acquisition
  • Customer engagement
  • Create, plan, coordinate, and promote memorable dining experiences
  • Plan and execute live social and food events for residents, neighbors, and guests across Los Angeles
  • Assist in social media marketing across Kitchen Table App’s various social channels, including creating and writing marketing and promotional materials for distribution
  • Track the effectiveness of media communication, especially as it relates to new customer acquisition for the Kitchen Table App

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of online marketing experience with a visible track record of content creation and customer engagement
  • 1-2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of prospecting and user acquisition
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • iphone 6+ required
  • Drivers license and a car are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Start-up experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Comfort using common software packages and online tools (Google Drive, Squarespace, MailChimp, social media channels, and analytics)

DESIGN

Design is about human behavior, human connection, individual experience, utility, functionality, and ease of use. Design contributes to product development and cares deeply about look and feel. Design works closely with our engineers and moves quickly, but precisely.  Kitchen Table is playful, friendly, simple, sophisticated and welcoming to all.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design sophisticated and thoughtful flows and interactions across platforms

  • Create and design marketing collateral including photo, video, print, and social media assets

  • Partner with product and operations to define problems and goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and oversee the building process

  • Executive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity

We will look to you for creativity, simplicity, and customer acquisition efforts achieved by design. You need to know your way around Illustrator and Photoshop and have experience in graphic design for web, mobile, and print. This is a high-visibility, multifaceted role in a fast-paced, growing organization which provides the opportunity to work closely with the company’s founders, executives, key internal and external stakeholders as well as Kitchen Table’s customers. The position is dynamic and demanding, and offers the potential for professional advancement and the opportunity to develop, grow, and manage a team over time. Hours and work setting are flexible, and pay is competitive.

You must be organized and self-motivated. You must have a strong interest in food, cooking, eating, community, social science, and creating positive impact on people and the world. You should be creative, thoughtful, and mindful.

And:

  • A desire to help grow our social and food movement in Los Angeles and beyond

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Photoshop, Illustrator, Lo-fi & hi-fi prototyping skills

  • Contributed as a leader in design and a strong collaborator with product managers and engineers

  • Demonstrate experience with end-to-end product design

  • Have cross-platform design experiences (Web, iOS, android, email, Squarespace, MailChimp, social media channels and analytics)

  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-­functional partners and work in a fast-paced environment
